1938-S Oregon Trail Silver Commemorative NGC MS-67 Huge Toner

Description

This coin is a twofer for the serious collector. First, as MS 67 it is truly an impressive strike and quality of coin. But the toning on both the reverse and the obverse make this a delight to hold in one’s hands for hours.
Most of the action is on the reverse with dark chocolate, plum, and green colors. Obverse has some delightful iridescent rainbow toning at the 7 o’clock and 3 o’clock position.
The strike is so strong that you can look at the occupants of the wagon and imagine them heading west through the tall grass.
