    Description

    Beautiful antique beaver tail snowshoes. Handmade in the traditional way of ash wood and sinew / rawhide. Signed Abel Pelletier, St. Aubert, CA.
    Very good condition for their age, but they have definitely been used. The varnish is almost completely worn off the wood. The sinew is very solid. The leather bindings are solid. One shoe has a visible crack in the wood, as shown in detail in the photos.
