A genuine 1936 Wisconsin Territorial Centennial Commemorative Silver Half Dollar Coin, graded and certified MS 64 by PCGS. Contains 90% Silver
Struck in 90% silver, this classic commemorative half dollar marked the 100th anniversary of the Wisconsin territorial government. David Parsons created the original design, which was reworked by Benjamin Hawkins. The obverse displays a badger on a log before three upright arrows and an olive branch. The reverse was based on the Wisconsin Territorial Seal. It depicts an arm holding a pickaxe above a mound of lead ore. Below are the legend 4TH DAY OF JULY ANNO DOMINI 1836 and the date of issue (1936).
